Server maintenance announcement There will be a server / service downtime on the 21. dezember 2023. Within this server maintenance various updates are planned.
upgrade Debian 11 → 12 upgrade ejabberd 23.04 → 23.10 apply outstanding DB modificiations letsencrypt (certbot) enable the reuse flag to support DANE A downtime of 3 hours is planned, starting from 10:00 CEST to 13:00 CEST. This blog post will be updated when subtasks are done.
Server maintenance announcement The latest addition to critical CPU bugs, zombieload, has the ability to steal sensitive data, due to this a server maintenance is necessary.
The expected time period is estimated to 30.07.2019 8:00 - 10:00 CEST and will approximately last for up to 1 hour. All services will restart after the maintenance is finished.

Server Maintenance Schedule Notice Due to the Foreshadow bug and the resulting updates to the kernel a reboot is necessary. My host system is scheduled to reboot in the following time period:
11.09.2018 12:00 - 14:00 CEST
The downtime of the server is estimated to last approximately for 30 minutes. All services will automatically restart after the reboot. If services are not working right away I will try to fix them as quick as possible.
Bekanntmachung Heute, am 25 August, kam es zu dem bisher größten Ausfall meiner Services. Leider ist aufgrund eines Fehler, der mir bisher nicht weiter bekannt ist, eine Platte des Server ausgefallen. Die Datenbank hat das ganze nicht sonderlich gut aufgenommen.
Ich fahre regelmäßig Backups und die binlogs waren auch wiederherstellbar, daher kam es zu keinem Datenverlust. Allerdings musste ich die Datenbank neu aufbauen, was sich als zeitintensiv herausstellte.
Gegen 23:30, nach fast 5 Stunden, ist es mir nun gelungen alle Datenbanken wiederherzustellen und alle Services vollständig wieder in Betrieb zu nehmen.
